From The Page (December, 1993):
In honor of our baroness, Elizabeth of the Blue Rose, the Barony of Darkwood will host the Baroness' Masked Ball and Tournament on December 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Monterey Masonic Lodge. Lists for the tournament (to choose the Baroness' champion) will open at 11 a.m. with armor inspection following. Fighting will commence at noon. Arts and sciences competitions are (1) a drama performance 10 minutes in length (be forewarned, if there are no entries, someone will be chosen at the Baron's whim), and (2) cooking, a dish that honors the Baroness. A potluck will follow at 5 p.m. with dancing, caroling and general merrymaking. The cost is $3 per person with those age 11 and under free. Mask making classes ($1 fee) at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Page school will also be held.
Potluck feast assignments by legal last name: (A·H) main dish; (I-Q) salads and/or breads; and (R-Z) desserts.
Autocrat: Tamara Antoinette (name/contact info).
