Site: Machado School House, Morgan Hill, CA
From The Page (June, 1993):
Once again the Barony of Darkwood calls forth archers from near and far to demonstrate their target skills at the July 18 (yes, July 18) Darkwood Archery Tourney. The site is the Machado School House in Morgan Hill.
The tourney will feature the traditional I.K.A.C. and Royal Round competitions to determine the next member of the Baronial Company of Archers, the Baronial Champion and overall winner.
Prizes will be awarded to the top shooter in each guild ranked category: Bowman, Archer, Yeoman and Bowmaster. Additional activities include novelty shoots and a Junior Royal Round.
In addition we ask one and all (whether they be spectators or archers) to join in the pageantry on the archery field by displaying their poled banner or war pennant. The on-site Arts & Science contest will be Best Field Banner or Pennant Displayed based on visibility, construction and proper heraldry. These banners can display your own device or an archery theme.
Site opens at 10 a.m. for practice, sign ups and equipment inspection. Competi- tion starts at noon. Site fee is $2.
