Site: Edgewood Park, Redwood City, CA
From The Page (April, 1993):
Join us for our annual Anniversary Tourney and compete for Baroness' Champion or Thug 0' da Westermark. Competitors for Baroness' Champion must participate in four out of five contests: tournaments, dancing, heraldry, Nine Men's Morris, and vegetable carving (any vegetable carved in the likeness of an animal; bring with your own vegetables to carve on site).
Resurrection melee to select this year's Thug. Sweet Spoon contest: food, the sweeter the better, and chocolate will be considered period. Documentation is not required, and all entries will be devoured at the pot luck. Of course there will be the traditional Westermark favorite - Numenorean brick throwing.
Site opens at 9 a.m., armor inspection at 10 a.m., tourney starts at 11 a.m. Pot-luck lunch for those who wish to participate. The site has flush privies, running water, grills, picnic tables.
