The Twenty-seventh Year

Debardchery Tourney -- Cloondara

June 13, 1992

From The Page (May, 1992):

It's our second annual Debardchery Tourney! The site is the Archery Field in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The site opens at 9 A.M.

This year we're adding an Archer's Auction wherein the populace may bid on their favorite archer whose winning score will win a prize for his highest bidder. In addition to the IKAC and IKCAC prize competitions, we will offer other amusements and competitions. These will include period cooking, Silver-Tongued Devil (for best compliment of the day), and other competitions to be announced. We will have planned activities for children.

The annual Bardic competition for the Bard of Cloondara will require a period work and a piece featuring Cloondara or Cloondaran(s). There will be extra points awarded for documentation. If you need information about Cloondara and its shire members, feel free to contact the autocrat who will be happy to offer suggestions. You don't have to be musical to participate, we LOVE interesting stories! We welcome anyone to perform even if you do not wish to participate in the competition.

We will have a potluck picnic. Please bring a dish based on your mundane last name as follows: A-E side dish or salad, F-N main dish, 0-Z desserts. if you have a sunshade to share, please contact the autocrat. The site can be windy and cool; we suggest you bring additional layers for warmth.

Autocrat: Caitlin Dhuin na n'ean (name/contact info).
