From The Page (June, 1992):
ATTENTION WAR UNITS!!! The War Unit Tourney is designed to be an 'OLYMPICS' for war units. The tourney will be comprised of several scenarios which will be run continuously in a rotating fashion in order to test each and every unit entering to determine the BEST. Prizes will be awarded to the top three units in addition to a pennant being awarded to the top unit to proclaim their victory. We hope that this first place pennant will be passed on year after year to become a tradition.
Units entering must be made up of no less than eight fighters and no more than twenty-three fighters. Smaller units may participate by combining with others to achieve the minimum number. Units must have an armored standard bearer, with standard, on the field in each engagement. There will be prizes for the unit with the best livery (looking good!), largest unit, and the unit selected as most glorious.
This tournament isn't just another war. A lot of time and effort has been put into it to make it truly unique. The competition will not be easy.
If your unit is interested in competing, you must write for the rules. Write to the autocrat. See if your war unit has what it takes.
The site fee is $2 per person.
Autocrat: Christian du Glaive (name/contact info).
