Let the Jingles be heard far and wide-gather up your favorite furry BEAR- come and join us in celebrating the Holiday Spirit. The Province of Southern Shores is once again hosting a Holiday Revel. Everyone is encouraged to wear bells (any size and shape will do) and bring your BEARS; Care-Bears, Teddy Bears, Polar Bears, Koala Bears, Panda Bears, pretty bears, not so pretty bears and your favorite BEAR.
The revel will be at Orchard City Grange in Campbell, the hall will open for set-up/Sear decoration!Banner hanging at 1 P.M., clean-up starts between 10P.M. and 10:3QP.M. There will be contests to be enjoyed by all including; Bell the Cat, Best Use of Bells on Garb (suitable for public display), Best 'Cut' for Hole in the Wall dance, The Silver tongue Devil (can a Lord (Lady) explain rumors about him (her) to his Lady (her Lord), Bardic competition (Subject: AGE), and Table decoration (Theme: BEARS).
There will also be medieval games, dancing, a raffle with many donated items, and just plain silliness. Instead of a Gift Exchange, we once again ask that you donate some canned/ dried food for those less fortunate than we. The donations will be passed onto the Harvest Food Bank for distribution.
The site fee is $5 per person, $2.50 for those under 12 years, and free for those under 2 years. Alcoholic beverage at the site is limited to Champagne only. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., all potluck food should be in the kitchen by 3:30 p.m. The potluck categories (by legal last name) are:
A-F Salads, G-M Bread & Cheese, N-Q Main dishes & R-Z Deserts
Please bring a dish to feed 6-8. Turkey and Ham will be supplied by Southern Shores.
