Archery Shoot and Winter Feast -- Darkwood / Hawk's Haven

January 18, 1992 (AS XXVI)

From The Page (January, 1992):

The Barony of Darkwood and the Canton of Hawks Haven will hold its joint Darkwood Archery Shoot and the Hawks Haven Winter "Feast. The Baron has discovered bands of rogues poaching on his land and has called for their capture. To regain their freedom, these outlaws must challenge the Baron's archers.

Competitions will include a Team Shoot to set the outlaws free, an IKAC to select the next Darkwood Archery Champion, 'Royal Round' to determine the next member of the Baronial Company of Archers, and a junior 'royal round'. Those archers shooting in the IKAC will be competing against others of their own level of proficiency based on the West Kingdom Archer's Guild rankings. Prizes to be awarded in IKAC to the top three contestants in each guild ranked division.

After a hard day of archery dine with the Canton of Hawks Haven. This year's feast will come from the lands of Spain and Portugal. Meat will be provided in the form of Portuguese and Spanish beef and chicken while feasters will bring a potluck Spanish or Portuguese side dish. Document your side dish and you have entered the Hawks Haven Arts and Sciences contest. During the feast there will also be a very un-silent auction. Order the feast tickets from the Feastocrat, $5.

The site opens at 10 A.M., the competition starts at 11 A.M. and the feast will begin at 6P.M. The site fee is $2 per person.
