From The Page (November, 1991):
To arms, to arms! Voices in the wind once again herald impending hostilities between the great neighboring Kingdoms of Atenveldt and Caid! ESTRELLA WAR VIII IS COMING.
Estrella War VIII will be held on the weekend of February 15-17, 1992. While more details will appear later, the autocrats felt that early announcements and calls for assistance would be beneficial to all.
VOLUNTEERS will be needed, as usual, in the following areas: Security (especially needed are licensed security guards); gate duty; marshalling; waterbearing; heralding/announcing; and, coordination of children's activities (NOT baby-sitting). This year we would like to encourage people from all kingdoms to volunteer. Again, volunteer hours will be credited to local groups, and prizes will be raffled to those contributing their time.
Interest has been expressed in EQUESTRIAN EVENTS at this war. If you would like to participate and need information concerning equestrian events, facilities, or regulations, please contact Nefratiri Ani (name/contact).
We would like to make our MERCHANTS' ROW larger than ever this time. Merchants should start planning now - if you plan to market your goods, and would like to receive information as soon as it is available, now is the time to get your business on our merchants' mailing list. Send all information to Robin Huxley of Land's End (name/contact).
Those who would like to conduct special events (i.e., workshops, long plays, etc.) should contact Arianna Windhaven to determine suitability, needs and appropriate scheduling. Your ideas are welcomed! Please let us know what you liked (or didn't like) at past Estrella Wars, and send us your suggestions.
Autocrat: Arianna Wind haven (name/contact) (until 9 P.M. M.S.T.).

[Please note there already eleven pages of handouts concerning camping regulations and various activities. If you are interested in a particular activity, contact the individual listed, I suggest sending a SASE. Note: The amount of regulations for these larger wars are getting to the point that those who attending need to seriously consider subscribing to that kingdom's newsletter. When traveling to foreign countries the cultural differences can ruin your entire trip. You may arrive only to find that you will not be allowed to fight, compete in contests; camp, or even be allowed past the gate. If you would like to be on The Page's mailing list for Estrella and receive updates of what is printed on this war please send a note with your name and address and five dollars (for copying and postage) to "SCA Inc.-The Page."]
