The Twenty-sixth Year

First Sword Tourney -- Esfenn

August 10, 1991 (AS XXVI)

From The Page (July, 1991):

WANTED fighters with an attitude. Esfenn is proud to announce the 9th Annual First Sword Tourney. The First Sword competition is open to all fighters of the West and the winner will become the military representative/spokesman and field commander for the Shire. Unfortunately our peaceful ways and exemplary conduct have caused a cessation of conflict for the past three years. We'd like to change that by having a First Sword with an attitude!!!

After the First Sword Competition the Shire will hold a Prize Tourney. Some of the prizes are: two helms, scrimshaw piece, wine, Henry's. There will also be activities for non-fighters. There will be a potluck revel in the evening.

The site is Weekes Park in Hayward and the site fee will be $4.

Autocrat: Antonietta (T'Andra) Zampa del Gatto (name/contact info).
