Archery Tourney -- Darkwood

July 27, 1991 (AS XXVI)

From The Page (July, 1991):

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! All outlaw bowman of the West! The Baron of Darkwood has challenged one and all to shoot against the Baron's archers for a purse of gold. Come join thy Darkwood neighbors on Saturday, July 20th at the Madlado School in Morgan Hill.

Competitions will include IKAC to select the next Darkwood Archery Champion, Royal Round to determine the next member of the Baronial Company of Archers, and a junior royal round. Those archers shooting in the IKAC will be competing against others of their own level of proficiency based on the West Kingdom Archer's Guild rankings. Prizes to be awarded in IKAC to the top 3 contestants in each guild ranked division.

The highlight of the day will be crowning the "Prince of Thieves" who most accurately hits a swinging purse of gold.

The Arts & Sciences competition for this event will be "Archery Anything". Displays of hand made archer accessories are welcome.

Site opens 10 am. Competition starts at 12 noon. Site fee: $1 per person.

Autocrat: Dietrick von den Weinbergen (name/contact info).
