The Twenty-sixth Year

Dance Revelry -- Cloondara

February 22, 1992 (AS XXVI)

From The Page (January, 1992):

The Shire of Cloondara will host a day for lovers of dance at the Moscone Field gymnasium. The day will be spent learning a wide variety of dances. In the evening there will be a ball so that everyone can show off their grace, skill and the new dances they learned. Several of the kingdom's finest dance instructors have said they'll teach, but more teachers are always welcome. The hall will open at 10 A.M. with classes beginning shortly thereafter.

No feast is planned, because there's no kitchen, but there are a wide variety of restaurants in the neighborhood. A list of these establishments will be available at the site. Everyone is encouraged to bring finger foods to eat during the ball. Classes will and at 5 P.M. and the ball will start at 7 P.M.

The site fee is $5. The autocrat is Juana Isabella de Montoya y Ramirez (name/contact).

In honor of the season, St. Valentines's day, and the shire's colors, all are encouraged to wear red and gold. A bit of green is OK too. there will be a contest to choose the best red and gold outfit.

Rain is, of course, hoped for; but if it isn't raining there is plenty of room for fighting, or other outdoor activities on the large lawn next to the field house.
