The Twenty-sixth Year

Water War II -- Champclair

June 8, 1991 (AS XXVI)

From The Page (March, 1991):

The Shire of Champclair once again finds itself at war over the most precious of resources, water. The "North Bay Alliance" (Champclair, Vinhold and Wolfscairn) will battle the Providence of Golden Rivers on Saturday, June 8 to settle their dispute honorably.

There will be castle, river, bridge, field and resurrection battles. There will be regular combat archery during the morning, so bring your arrowscreen! Tentative plans include allowing "golf-tube" war arrows in all afternoon battles as an experiment in new lighting technics. These mini-javelins do not require the use of arrowscreen. Interested archers should contact the autocrat for golf tube arrow specifications.

The site is centrally located with a large battlefield, good parking, flush privies, and potable water. It is a wet site, no glass containers, please. There is very little shade so bring your pavilions. Dogs and other pets are NOT allowed per county regulations. (Merchants: the county does not allow sales in the park, sorry!)

The site opens at 8am, armor inspection begins at 9:00am, and the park closes at 8pm. Park officials charge $3.00 per car to enter the park (bring cash), and our constables will collect an additional $ 2.00 per adult, $ 1.00 for ages 17 to 14, (smalls [children] are free).

The autocrats are Duncan Saxthorpe and Camilla von Cuxhaven (names) at (phone) between 6-9pm [messages anytime].
