From The Page (December, 1990):
The Shire of Teufelburg announces its annual Yule tide fighting practice/lord and lady of Yuletide list and revel with gift exchange to be held December 9, 1990.
The event will commence with an afternoon of fighting at Brookwood Park in Pleasant Hill at 1PM. Lists sign-up will be around 1:30 and fighting will start around 2PM. We will finish at the park by 4PM and then move on to the revel at Boy Scouts' Hut in Lafayette for a Potluck Dinner. Bring a dish to serve 8-10 people to share (this is a true potluck-it can be whatever you want). The shire will provide a non-alcoholic punch. A small donation will be requested at the revel.
After supper we will have the gift exchange which works in the following manner: Each person brings a wrapped gift valued at $5 or less. One person will select a gift to start; the second person has the choice of the first person's gift or another one from the pile; the third person has the choice of the first or second person's gifts or one from the pile, and so on. Children are welcome to participate as well. The evening will wind down early (i.e., 9PM) so we can get off to our mundane jobs and school.
