The Twenty-fifth Year

St. Cassian / St. Katherine War -- St. Cassian of Imola

November 10, 1990 (AS XXV)

From The Page (October, 1990):

Once again the sticky fingers of the College of St. Katherine have gotten them involved in yet another martial conflict. If you remember, at the last Twelfth Night, the College of St. Cassian celebrated the dropping of the word 'incipient' from their title. This celebration was marred by the conspicuous absence of their banner, lovingly crafted by one of our benevolent scholars. The time has come to show our brothers the error of their ways. Come an dunite in a clash of arms under the banner of the College of St. Cassian, and show these rogue scholars that thievery does not make good friends. The armed conflic will take place at famous 'Alfrikland' in sunny South Sacramento. We promise a full day of fighting with light fighters included (Sorry, no archery). Listen-ups will be at 9 a.m., and the first scenario will start at about 10 a.m. The COST of this conflict will be a modest $2 per person. We ask that you be aware that this is private land, and that we are guests and should act appropriately. As the land is very dry, please do not extinguish smoking items on the ground, and do not have any open flames on the site. Please, no pets, and note the brightly flagged wire baskets that mark sites of tree saplings and please do not drive over them. Parking is very limited, so please carpool. This is a one-day event.

The address of the site is (omitted). The autocrat of the event is Lord Malcolm MacPherson (phone). We cordially invite all marshalls, water bearers and chirurgeons to this event, your services are most greatly appreciated.
