South Somerset Bakery
"The South Somerset Bakery was set up
by Charles of the Park and myself in
that year. The ovens are obviously
not period but worked quite well. Each
day we made 60+ loaves of bread and
then 150 to 200 small treats (i.e.,
Baroness Buns, Hot Cross Rolls,
Cheese and Mustard Rolls. Each
made on a different day). It was a
lot of work and a bit tricky keeping
everything clean in the tent. It was
still great fun. I stopped after
three years but Charles is still
running it. He has cut down on the
number of loaves and is now also
running a wine bar at Festival as
well as the bakery." -- John of the Hills
