From The Page (November, 1990):
Once again, the Canton of Hawks Haven will present its very popular Token Turkey Tourney. Two turkeys will be awarded in a meat grinder tourney; one will be awarded for belted and un-belted fighters. Also there will be a bake sale; cooking contest (jams and jellies-see Anastasia's Kitchen for more info); the ever popular groveling contest; a boffer contest held at men's, women's, and children's Catagories (bring boffers, face protection, gloves, etc.); a Lord's Helm Lunch (bring lots of money as lunches go high). A new event will be a live steel cutting contest (bring any live steel and be ready to cut plastic soda liter bottles). A potluck revel is planned for later.
New site: The Tourney will take place at Machado School (this is a new site, do not go to last year's site), located in Morgan Hill on Saturday, November 10. The site opens at 10AM, Helm Lunch will begin at 11:30, fighting will begin at 1PM. The site fee is $3. This is a wet site [Alcohol permitted]. AUTOCRAT: Gareth Lionsmane (name/phone).
