Come all ye lovers to the annual Golden Rivers Championshp and St. Valentine's Revel: At Cordova Park, (address), Rancho Cordova, CA. The Championshp Lists will open 10am with the Tournament to begin promptly at 11am. The revel will begin at 5pm and is a potluck (see below). Anyone bringing a dessert to enter in our 'Decadent Desserts' contest (in addition to their potluck contribution), will gain free admittance for 2. Those 'dessertless' will be assessed a 'Fool's Tax' of $2. per person to enrich Golden River's coffers. This will entitle them to receive the 'Bounty of the Province'! (i.e., dessert. No documentation required.)
Contests: Fool for Love Contest; conjure up a piece of foolishness and compete to be the First Official Fool of Golden Rivers! The rules are those of good taste! A Token to someone admired; This may be in the form of song, a poem, a favor, artwork-anything showing your admiration for someone else (not necessarily the opposing gender!) Must not have been submitted in any other competition.
Potluck: A-F Starch (BreadlPotatoes/Rice/etc.); G-P Casserole/Main Dish; Q.Z Vegetable/Fruit. There are no kitchen facilities at this site. Please take this into consideration in regard to feast gear.
