White Shield Tourney and Feast -- Darkwood

On February 23 the Barony of Darkwood is again hosting its annual White Shield Tourney and Feast. Come and cross swords with our fierce fighters and stay to partake of some of the finest, most succulent delicacies of the English Renaissance. Chefs from around the world competed to tempt the palates ofthe English court, and we can do no less for those willing to travel to Caer Darth (Santa Cruz) in the boring month of February.

The competition for the Bard ofthe Oaks will take place during the day as well as other diverse activities for non fighters.

Feast tickets are $10 and the feast begins at 6pm. The site is the Eagles Hall, (address), Santa Cruz. Its the same feast site as last year but the fighting is much closer. Autocrat: Sabrina Goldbender (name/contact info), soon because only 130 tickets will be sold. If you are paying by check, make it payable to "SCA Inc.-Barony of Darkwood".

Get your tickets soon for the Annual White Shield Feast to be held in Santa Cruz (Barony of Darkwood) on Feb 23rd.

Fighting will take place during the day (lists sign-ups begin at 10am) at nearby Mission Park to determine the new White Shield Champion. List fee is included in the Feast ticket price, or $2 if not attending feast.

Feast begins at 6pm with competition for the Bard of the Oak happening between removes as well as other diverse amusements such as the Silent Auction. The feast is planned in 4 removes and features such delights as Almond Tarts, Mock Vension, Chicken in Orange Sauce and a subtlety of chocolate. Tickets are $10 and going fast. Please join the Baron & Baroness in celebrating this the 5th year of our Barony.
