It's official! There is no Allthyng this year, however there will be an event to take its place. Join us for a Mask Making Class, extended officers meeting, potluck dinner, and of course the Baroness' Masked Ball.
When will all this happen? Join us Sunday, December 16th, beginning at lOAM. The activities will continue throughout the day, culminating in a Masked Ball. (See schedule below). The event will take place once again at Louden Nelson Center in Santa Cruz, CA The site fee is $2. This is a wet site [alcohol permitted].
SCHEDULE: 10AM-Mask Making; 12PM-Lunch (on your own); 2PM-Extended Officer's Meeting (open to all, events for the year will be discussed); 5PM-Baronial Potluck (bring something to share); 7PM-Masked Ball and Revel.
Mask Making Class: This informal class will focus on embellishing small face masks and plaster masks, and possibly molded leather masks. Please bring your artistic mind and items such as feathers, beads, glitter, fabric, paints, brushes, and jewels. Those wishing to create a plaster mask will need to bring a headband or strip of cloth, some bobby pins and Vaseline or cold cream. (Plaster masks may not finish drying before the ball, but we will do our best). The mask making will continue through the officers meeting for those wishing to finish up their masks. There will be a small fee for each mask made. NOTE: Due to the nature of the materials used in the mask making class, please no children under age 10. The Barony will provide bread and butter. Please bring your own beverages. The Baroness will host the masked ball, where anything can happen, and dreams do come true. There will be several contests, including one for the best male and female masks. Dancing and general merriment will follow.
