From The Page (May, 1990):
THE SECOND ARTS & SCIENCES / PAGE SCHOOL TOURNEY IS COMING!!!! If you missed it last year, don't miss it this year! Date: July 28-29th / at the Coast Guard Station in Petaluma. Same great site as last year. Who could forget Saturday ngiht when the fog covered our campsite or Sunday morning when the Page School held its 1st Grand March & Boffer Tourney? Watch this space next month for the greatest weekend event of the year. You can take a class, go to fight practice, watch the kids while they teach us new fighting techniques, feed the ducks or just hang out & relax with 400 of your closest friends! ITS GOING TO BE A GREAT EVENT!
The West Kingdom Page School will have its 2nd Annual Page School Tourney on the weekend of July 28th-29th. This will be run in conjunction with the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Tourney again this year. On Saturday, a full run of classes will be scheduled. The classes will reflect the competitions on Sunday. The classes will run 10-4. On Sunday, the Boffer Tourney & competitions will be run. If you are a Page School Member & wish to run a competition or co-autocrat this event, please contact the Chancellor of the Page School--Lady Cillene MacRorie at (contact info). If you are an adult that would like to parcipate in the tourney, working with a child, please contact me also. Both children & adults are needed.
From The Page (July, 1990):
The West Kingdom Arts & Sciences Offices in conjunction with the Kingdom Page School are sponsoring a Tourney on July 27 & 28, with Friday afternoon set up at the Two Rocks Coast Guard Station. The SITE FEE is $5 per person, $2 for children under 12. Any profits will go toward the "2nd" edition of the A&S Printed Annual. The 1st edition will be available to all subscribing members for pick up at the event. Any copies not picked up will be mailed.
We've got a great site with a little lake, a few trees & lots of ducks. The grass will probably be a little dry but the cool ocean breeze & morning fog should keep the July heat at bay. Come join us for a weekend of fun, frolic & learning. We have something for everyone to enjoy. Almost all the classes are "Hands on Classes" designed for active participation where you can pay or donate a small fee & walk away with something you've made.
GENERAL SCHEDULE: (omitted)
Now that you've looked over the interesting stuff we'll be doing, take a minute to review the rules of conduct at the Coast Guard Station. We're expecting the largest SCA crowd ever booked at this particular base so it's very important that we all PLEASE remember this is an active duty military base. They are VERY PARTICULAR about speed limits & auto insurance. You'll need proof of insurance to drive on the base. If asked & you cannot provide it, you will have to park your hehicle outside the gate & have someone ferry your gear inside. No exceptions. Also, NO PETS PLEASE. People who live there have pets, but we're just visiting. No FIRES on the ground. Remember to OBEY THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT, especially through the 10 MPH family living areas. NO SWIMMING in the lake but fishing is allowed if you have a license.
Any problems or questions call the AUTOCRATS: Siranna of Hawthorn Hall (phone) or Lady Temparia (phone) or Mistress Edwinna of Hawks Bluff (phone).
