Tourney and Banquet -- Windymeads

October 28, 1989 (AS XXIV)

Their Highnesses of Cynagua, Gareth and Ruarai, cordially invite you to attend Windymeads Annual Tournament and Banquet, Saturday, October 28, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Davis. The tourney will consist of five different fighting events. The winner will be determined by the highest overall score. The categories are as follows: 1. Mass Weapons, no shields (length limit is 41") 2. Shor Spear (will be provided); 3. Shastan Melee; 4. Javelin Accuracy; and 5. Knife Fighting. (You do not need to enter each event) Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. In additional to the fighting, there will be a competition for Best Face Mask in honor of All Hallow's Eve. And of course, no Windymeads tourney would be complete without a Belly Dance competition for non-bellydancers, both male and female (come on guys!) per Her Highneses request, there will be period dancing after the banquet. The banquet will be potluck and will follow the fighting. Using your legal last name, please provide the following (each dish should serve 8-10 people): A-H, fruit and/or vegetable dishes; I-P main dishes; Q-Z, desserts. This is a discreet wet site. The site fee is $3.00 per person. The site opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. Bring yourself, your friends and your banners.
