Come relax after the busy summer at the Southern Shores Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 21 at Cordoza Park in Milpitas. The site opens at 10:30 am and closes at 5 pm. The main event will be a potluck picnic lunch at approximately 1 pm. Food selections, by legal last name should be: A-F, salads/side dishes; G-N, main dishes; and O-Z, desserts. Other activities will include three contests, "toss the sheaf" for men, "haggis throwing" for women, and the third annual Jeu de ball campionship of the Known World, as well as other games. Everyone is encouraged to bring any period games that they have to teach and share. An area will be set up for fighting, though no formal combat activities are planned.
