March Crown will be held at the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area at Granite Bay on Folsom Lake. The site opens at 3 pm Friday & closes at 5 pm on Sunday. The SITE FEE is $5 per person; the MERCHANTS' FEE is $10.
Fires will be restricted to braziers, camp stoves, or barbecues. NO OPEN FIRES ALLOWED. There is excellent parking & flush privies, but Eric space will be very limited. Everyone is requested to please bring a large garbage bag for waste disposal.
NOTE: PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON SMALLS AT THIS SITE! FOLSOM LAKE IS LOW AT THE MOMENT, BUT NEARBY & STILL HAZARDOUS. [GRIGORII: Even if they aren't close to the lake: the shore can be pretty steep, so be forewarned!] NO DOGS ALLOWED.
COMPETITIONS: THE ARTS COMPETITIONS include Instrumental Performance (of a period piece, not to exceed 5 minutes. Authenticity of the instrument will be considered, entrants MUST have 1 copy of the music for the judges.) & Vocal Performance (spoken or sung, not to exceed 5 minutes, your choice of song, story, poem, soliloquy, prose readings, dramatic performance, or narration. Words should be well-pronounced with translations of foreign language entries for the judges.); call Siranna at (phone) if you have questions. There are NO SCIENCES COMPETITIONS scheduled for March Crown. THE WOODEN SPOON COMPETITION is Chocolate Anything; call Dierdre at (phone) for details.

The MISSILE COMPETITIONS include target/combat (with no protective gear needed), a three-phase combat javelin [distance, speed, & accuracy] competition against a wooden target (again, no protective gear needed), & javelin design tests, so bring your javelins that are made in accordance with West Kingdom Law & test your designs. OTHER ACTIVITIES: The CONSTABLES will be selling off lost & found goodies over a year old. They will also have on display other lost items for claiming, including many objects from 12th Night. Stop by their Pavillion. There's a SENESCHALS' meeting on Saturday, beginning at 5th round. (Lachlin requests that all Seneschals attend, or send deputies.) ARACHNE'S WEB will be teaching a crochet class. The HERALDS need volunteers, so attend the 9am meetings on either Saturday or Sunday (or both) & they will provide training. The PAGE SCHOOL will have a 'Jewelry Making' session on Saturday at 2pm; on Sunday at 1pm there will be a discussion & lecture about 'Being a Page in Camp.' Mentors Handbooks & Page Certification Books will be available.
