The long awaited, oft despaired-for Mists-Cynagua War will be held at the Greenhorn Campground of Rollins Lake, an hour or so east of Sacramento. The site has trees and grass, a trout pond, lake swimming, potable water, an on-site cold shower and non-flush privies. Free hot showers are available at the Orchard Springs Campground five miles away. The gate house sells firewood, ice, snacks, beer, and soda, and there are nearby groceries, gas, motels and restaurants. No ground fires please! Pets must be leashed and accompanied at all times! Parents please take heed: there are irrigation ditches, a lake, a trout pond, and poison oak in the surrounding brush. The site fee is $5.00. Further details will be in the September Page. NO GROUND FIRES!! This is the fire season, so it is strongly recommended that you have a fire extinguisher handy. Do not leave any cookfire, campfire stoves, barbecues, candles, lanterns, etc., unattended at any time. Pets must be leashed and accompanied at all times! Parents please take heed: there are irrigation ditches, a lake, a trout pond, and poison oak in the surrounding brush. Please camp only in designated areas. Those setting up camp in war zones and/or fire lanes will be asked to move.
