From The Page (May, 1989):
The Gluttonous Medieval Gourmand recommends that you celebrate the passing of spring and the advent of summer by joining Canale in a return to a kinder, gender repast of the past. On July 8, Canale will hold a wondrous, four-remove feast at the Turlock VFW Hall, (address) in Turlock. The site will open at 5 pm with dinner at 6 pm. Tickets are $8.50, and may be purchased from any Canale member or may be ordered from the autocrat, Kateline Deveraux Simpson (name/address). Checks should be made out to the Shire of Canale, SCA Inc. No tickets will be sold at the door. The meal will include both pork and poultry. Ingredient information for allergy sufferers is available from the feastocrat, Gwyneath (name/contact info). While no alcohol can be brought on site, wine will be available for those who wish it for $1.50 at the door. Several non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Please bring your own feast ware and utensils. Further information is available from the autocrat at (phone).
