From The Page (March, 1989):
The Barony of Nordwache in the Kingdom of Caid will be hosting the West-Caid War. It will take place on April 1-2, at the Squaw Leap Bureau of Land Management Area near Auberry. Once again, there will be a treasure chest full of donated items that will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be split between the two kingdoms. Here is a chance to directly contribute to your kingdom by donating an item to the chest and participating in the auction. Archers and heavy weapons fighters are invited to compete for war points and there will be space provided for shanai and other light weapon fighting. Merchants are invited to Merchants Row with a fee of $40 for the weekend due in advance to the BLM. Shoppers are invited to Merchants Row to purchase the many wonderful items that the merchants will have available. Artisans, scientists, and performers are invited to show their skills at the Oueen's Tea for the enjoyment of Her Majesty and the populace. We hope that you will come to this event to help show the greatness of your kingdom, the richness of its resources, and the pride of its people.
