Harvest Festival -- Southern Shores

On October 8, the Province of Southern Shores will hold its annual Harvest Festival at a yet to be determined site. There will be games and amusement for all with a possible revel held afterward at a nearby hall. More details will be revealed in the October Page. For more information, contact the autocrat, Irial of Dun Aengus (name/phone) between the hours of 4 pm and 6:30 pm on weekdays.

On October 8, the Province of Southern Shores will hold its annual Harvest Festival. Festivities and games for ages will include, but not be limited to: The Jeu de Boules tournament of the Known World, Egg Olympics (egg spoon carry, egg toss and hard boiled egg roll), as well as numerous other amusements. The event will beheld in John D. Morgan Park in Campbell. Besides games and activities, for the children there are jungle jims, swings and other playground equipment. After the games we shall retire to the Saratoga Fire Hall in downtown Saratoga, where a potluck revel is planned. If you intend to go to the revel, please bring a dish according to the first letter of your legal last name, as follows: A-J, main dish; K-R, dessert; and S-Z appetizers. If you have a dish you are dying to do and it is not in your group, trade places with a like minded person of the appropriate last name. There will, of course, be dancing afterward. The site fee is $2.00. The site will open at 10 am. The Saratoga Fire Hall is at (address omitted) (we have used this site before, so it may be familiar to some). The hall opens at 5 pm. There will be maps for getting to the revel site will be at the games site.
