From The Page (March, 1989):
On March 11, the Province of the Mists will return to its roots by sponsoring a small tourney in Cramont Rock Park. Old timers and historians will remember that the KIngdom was once so small that two Crown Tourneys were held on this site!
Activities will include a spice guessing competition, a cloak competition (criteria will be beauty and suitability for outdoor use as well as style matching the period and culture of the rest of the outfit), and a dance competition (a bransle to be announced on site). There will also be fighting. The site opens at 6 am, and the autocrats staff should be there soon after, but activity should begins around 9 am. We'll close at sundown for a revel at the autocrat's house. The park has flush privies. There is an observers' gallery with a view of most of the Bay area as well as of the tourney field. There will be room for a few pavilions or sunshades. Parking in the area is sadly limited. Carpooling is highly recommended.
The revel afterward will be at the autocrat's house, (address omitted). Directions wil be distributed at the tourney site. Bring whatever you have for potluck; the autocrat will provide soup. Please Note: because of the autocrats allergies, MUSHROOMS cannot be permitted to enter the house.
For more information, call the autocrat, Mariposa de Los Montoya, (phone), or Hal Ravn, (phone).
