Coronet Tournament -- Principality of the Mists
April 8-9, 1989 (AS XXIII)

MISTS Spring Coronet will be held April 8-9 at Bort Meadows/Big Trees Regional Park
In Oakland. Further information, including a map, will follow in the April Page.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The site is reserved for Saturday and Sunday only; it will NOT be
available for set-up Friday evening. For further Information, contact the autocrat,
Berengaria de Montfort of Carcassonne (name/contact info), or contact the assistant autocrat,
Gerald of Ipsley (name/phone).
The Principality Arts Competition for Mists Coronet will be perform a poem, song or
story on the subject of spring. If you can't be present, send your entry on audio cassette.
Entries should be no longer than five minutes; original works only, please. Entries should
be in a documented period style. Documentation can be as simple as "A sonnet is a
period verse form." Judging will be based on composition and performance. For further

The Silver Spoon Competition for Mists Spring Coronet will be "Roots." At least half of
your entry must consist of root vegetables. Be prepared to justify in-period availability, in
early April, of any ingredients you use. For further information, contact William Darcy at

The Princlpality of the Mists Page School session at Spring Coronet will be paging for
a fighter. His Grace, Duke Rador of Guildemar will be giving a talk on the duties a fighter
required of a page. After the talk, those pages who have been paired in advance with a
fighter will page for their fighters for 1-2 hours. If you have a page that is interested in
paging for a fighter, please contact me as soon as possible. If you are a fighter who would
like to take on a page, please contact me also. We would like to have the pages meet with
the fighters before the event to discuss duties and times. We need both fighter and pages
at this time! If you are a mentor and would like to connect pages and fighters, please

PAGES: Please bring your page book to the session at coronet. The
fighters will sign off your requirement for the paging duty. If you do not yet have your page
book, contact the Chancellor of the Page School (address listed under lesser officers).
