Hawks Haven will be sponsoring a Turkey Tourney on November 5, at Christmas Hill Park In Gilroy. The tourney prize will be a new world bird - a turkey live or dead - your choice. The site opens at 10 am and the lits begin at 11 am. The site fee Is $3.00. This is a DRY site. Other activities will include a bake sale of sweet delights, our second annual groveling contest, a cooking contest for the best accompaniment to roasted fowl (good side dish for turkey), cloved lemons, bardic circle, and Helm lunch auction, (the lords create their best lunch, hide it in their helm, and provide an eloquent description of the delecacies contained within). The highest bidding lady wiii share the lunch with its creator. This is a public park, so there will probably non-SCA folk hanging about. There are flush privies and fire pits.
