From The Page (December, 1988):
Come join the Barony of Fettburg on December 10 for their Yuletide revel. Site opens to the public at 3 pm and will close at 11 pm. There will be a pinata for the children (Parents please bring a bag of candy or other small items for the pinata). We will have a Christmas tree, for which people will be making origami ornaments during the day. If you can, please bring a period ornament for the Christmas tree. (You get your ornament back) There will be five competitions: most festive table, costume that best shows the Christmas spirit, best potluck dish, best Yuletide toast to the Baron and Baroness, best period Christmas story or song. Please limit song or story to ten minutes, they will be presented during dinner. Those competing will be allowed to eat earlier than others. All competitions will be judged by the populace. After dinner, there will be a court followed by dancing. Dinner will be an organized potluck, dishes should be coordinated with the autocrats ahead of time if you are local. Out of towners, that do not get an opportunity to coordinate in advance, should just bring a dish that feeds at least 10-12 people. Kitchen facilities are available. No alcohol allowed! Site fee is $3.00, including children. The site is the United Lutheran Church on Northgate in Manteca.
Autocrats are K'Alan Taurwen (name/phone) and Victoria of Eimhurst Hollow (name/phone).
