The Shire of Esfenn Invites everyone to attend their TGIF Revel on April 14, at the home of Gwendolyn the Ratkeeper and Robert Ringweaver, (address omitted). The theme of the revel is the Hallmote (manorial court). The revel will start at 7 pm and last until midnight. Everyone is encouraged to bring dinner and dessert finger foods (munchies) to share. The Shire will be providing nonalcoholic drinks. The activities for the evening are: Debate on the sin of Usury (listen to a heated debate on the sin of money lending). Domesday Book Entry (Write an account of your estate and properties for the Shire Domesday Book. A prize will be awarded to the best entry.) There will be a table of games to be played and enjoyed by all. The Esfenn Penny Taxes are due and payable by all present. You will be provided with a list of the taxes and fines when you arrive. Please bring a supply of pennies with you. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals who pay the most and the least. At 10 pm, manorial court will convene. The list of penny taxes paid and people paying will be read. Cases of social injustice that merit special attention will be addressed. Please Note: The house Is NOT child proof, and although children are welcome, parents will be asked to supervise them closely. For those with allergies, this is a nonsmoking house, but there are pets (a dog and a rat). Sleeping space will be available for anyone who plans to stay in the area to attend the Newcomers Tourney in Southern Shores the next day.
