Betwixt the post-tourney doldrums and the pre-Yule blues, lies an evening of enchantment and fun. Come and join us in the beautious Shire of Eslenn for a Danke Boden Es Ist Freitag (TGIF) Revel. The date is Friday (of course), October 14, starting at 7 pm and going until midnight, when Friday ends. We will be having a dessert and tidbit potluck, so bring some of your favorite desserts or munchies to share and your banner to hang if you wish. The autocrats are supplying hot spices cider to wet the throat and ward off the chilly October air. The competitions, games and activities will be many. The hall is the Legion of Volunteers (LoV) building at (address omitted) in Newark. More details and directions will appear in a later edition of the Page. As the long arm of winter begins to creep upon us, and tourney season draws to a close, an enchanted evening of tun and frolic will be held in the Shire of Esfenn. Come to our Danke Boden Es Ist Freitag (TGIF) Revel. The date is Friday (of course), October 14, starting at 7 pm and going until midnight, when Friday ends. The theme will be an All Hallow's Day Masque. We will be having a dessert and tidbit potluck, so bring some of your favorite desserts or munchies to share and your banner to hang if you wish. The autocrats are supplying hot, spiced cider (nonalcoholic) to wet the throat and ward off the chilly October air. The competitions, games and activities will be many, including non-martial chain mail , Who Am I game, apples on a string, a wine/brew/cordiall1iqueur competition (please bring two bottles/batches to enter) and possibly dancing. The hall is the Legion of Volunteers (LoV) building at (address) in Newark. More details and directions and a map will appear in next month's Page. The Shire of Esfenn is hosting a Danke Woden Es Ist Freitag (TGIF) Revel, starting at 7 pm and going until midnight, when Friday ends. The theme will be an All Hallow's Day Masque, so hide your faces, revelers all. We will be having a dessert and tidbit potluck, so bring some of your favorite desserts or munchies to share and your banner to hang if you wish. The autocrats are supplying hot, spiced cider (nonalcoholic): all other beverages you must provide yourself. Site fee is $2.00. The competitions will be many, including a wine/brew/cordial/liqueur competition (please bring two bottles/batches to enter), period Jack-O-Lantern, (candles provided, note pumpkins are not period), a non-martial chainmail competition, and the Troubadour of Esfenn is sponsoring an original song, story or poem contest with the theme being "Things that go bump in the night."
