The Barony of Earngyld will be hosting a Viking Solstice at the Shrine of st. Therese, approximately 20 miles north of Juneau, Alaska. This is an overnight revel, feast and Baronial Championship Tourney on the beach by the Norman-style church. Fees are $10 for overnight in the lodge, and also $10 for food fee. Children are free. Activities will include the unveiling of the baronial pavilion, a viking tourney, including stickball, natural dying, a barbarian feast and an all-night bardic by daylight (The sun generally doesn't set this time of year). There will also be a Viking Memorial Service for Lord Rodbert Cospatrick, who passed away the beginning of March.
