From The Page (August, 1987):
Tarnmist has long had a reputation of being the hideaway of Barbarians, Rogues and Freebooters (we're a bunch of pirates).
We now invite you to take a few hours off from plundering. (Ample safe anchorage is available for your ship in the sheltered port of San Luis Obispo.) Come and join us for an evening of revelry, bonfires and games on the beach. Recommended dress and atmosphere will be any pirate type circa 500AD to 1600AD. Limited crash space can be obtained if reserved at least 48 hours prior to the event. For information contact the autocrats: Christiana of Heathers Glen (phone) or Stuart of Lindley (phone).
Open fires permitted. Bring your own food and alcohol. Real firearms forbidden.
Time: 5:30pm-1am. Place: Port San Luis Beach.
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
