Twenty-second Year

Coronet -- Oertha

July 25-26, 1987 (AS XXII)

From The Page (June, 1987):

Their Highnesses Brendan & Aryana, Prince & Princess of Oertha do invite all to attend the Principality Summer Tourney and the Investiture of Their successors to be held on July 25-26 in Earngyld. Come join us in the Romance of the Greenwood in one of the lovliest sites in the Knowne World. The site is the Eagle River Camp 20 miles north of Juneau. The site is ringed by mountains and glaciers & enjoys some of the finest bird watching in Oertha. Hikes to the local glaciers are possible from the site, as is clamming, swimming, and fishing.

The site is provided with a heated lodge, 7 cabins for 6 people each, many pavilion sites, hot showers and a complete kitchen. The site can be reached by air and by ferry for those persons travelling by car.

Travellers are advised to bring raingear as liquid sunshine is a fact of life in Earngyld. Plastic bags for your garbage are also suggested as birds, especially bald eagles, are an ongoing nuisance. Bug dope is advised.

We would like to recreate the atmosphere of the Faire Day in the woods and invite all to join us in adding colour to the site. Colourful costumes, bells, ribbons, colourful place-settings, eric ribbons, cabin or pavilion decorations will particularly please your colour-happy Princess, who will be touring the site with her goody bag with which to recognize noteworthy efforts to please her eyes.

For further information or cabin reservations, contact the autocrat, Adam Elfchaser (contact info omitted). Cost is $10 for 2 days. Early arrivals may begin set-up Friday afternoon. Five meals will be provided.
