Baroness' Birthday / Rogues Revel -- Barony of Eskalya

October 3, 1987 (AS XXII)

From The Page (October, 1987):

The rogues have invaded and taken over the Baroness' Birthday. You are all invited to join us for the Baroness' Roguish Birthday Revel. The event will be held on the 3rd day of October at the Mac Chalet on Elmendorf AFB. There will be a site fee of $4 plus a veggi for stone soup. The site will open at 11am for decorating and a silly scroll contest. Please bring banners, pillows, etc., to give our hall that medieval look.

A Dagger Tourney will begin at 1pm. All wishing to participate must be signed in with waivers and athletic cup in hand (or wherever those things go).

There will be a munchie table provided throughout the day as well as stone soup to supplement the feast. At the request of Her Excellency feast will will be a bring your own with a prize awarded for the best display of a portable feast. There will be an auction held at 2-4, feast baskets serving 4-6 people to beneft the Coronet fund (no chips allowed at this one).

Cooking contests will be held in the following areas: Deserts - non-baked, may be fresh, frozen or cooked on a stove top, Baroness' Whim - cookies with almonds. Other contests are as follows: Costume & Persona - best Rogue extra points for new costumes, On Site Garlands & Headbands - materials provided, Thieving - object of theft provided, Scavenger Quest - prize awarded to winning team, Eskalyan Backstabbing - an old game with a new name.

There will be a Baronial Court after feast followed by a 20 box auction (for chips) and dancing. We hope you will join us for a day of feasting and fun (and you can wear your rouge if you really want). For more information contact the autocrats: Lady Lurana Dolfine (phone) or Lady Kyree (phone).
