April 30-May 1, 1988 (AS XXII-AS XXIII)

From The Page (March, 1988):

Beltane will be held on April 30 and May 1 at Rollins Lake Park near Colfax (off 80 east of Sacramento). The autocrats are Lord Kevin O'Furey (name/contact info omitted) and Marina Silversea (name/contact info omitted).

From The Page (April, 1988):

Beltane will be at the GREENHORN campground of Rollins Lake, an hour or so east of Sacramento. Beautiful site, ample camping and parking (RV OK), trout pond fishing, lake swimming, boat ramp for period boating in lake, tables, elevated barbecue, and potable water. Non-flush privies and one outdoor cold shower on site, free hot showers at next campground five miles away. Site store with ice, snacks, beer, pop. There is a nearby grocery store, gas, motel, and restaurants. PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: lake, trout pond, irrigation ditches on site, poison oak in nearby woods. No ground fires and pets must be leashed and attended at all times. IF YOU WISH TO CAMP ON THE ERIC, PLEASE SET UP BEFORE FIRST COURT AND TAKE DOWN AFTER LAST COURT. There will be only one circle of pavilions on the Eric for safety and space, and vehicles must drive down the middle to get to these sites. There will be a marvelous Pirate Tavern (see ad elsewhere in this issue), a Merchant Grove, an auction, and several competitions: Pied d'Argent dance is Rosewitha's Pavane; Sciences are Period Firestarting, and Period Cooking Onsite; Arts are Instrumental, Vocal, and Dramatic performances. DIRECTIONS: (Omitted) The autocrats are Kevin O'Fiodhabhra (contact info omitted) and Mariana Silversea (contact info omitted).
