Finally! At last! The long awaited, sometimes controversial Windy Meads Championship Tourney and Anniversary Banquet will be held at Putah Creek Lodge on the U.C. Davis Campus. The site fee will be $2. The date is September 13. Events will include fighting competitions, where the most coveted title of "The Hari of Windy Meads" will be awarded. The winner will not only receive the title, but a lovely gift too. Other events will include a lemon dessert contest (need not be period, just delicious), an on-site drawing contest for both adults and children, and on-site embroidery contest, and a body looting competition. In addition, Clan Skull wil be sponsoring a contest for best use of skulls in a costume accessory. A potluck banquet will be held in the evening (yes, there is a kitchen. Please bring something according to last names; A-E salads; F-T main dish; U-Z desserts). Festivities for the evening will include a table decoration contest featuring beasties, a guerning contest, a bellydance contest for non-dancers, a knife fighting contest and dancing 'til you drop. So come and pay homage to St. Merrick and spend the day with the meads.
Questions can be directed to Roxana of Shirag (phone omitted) or Loren of Berwick (phone omitted).
