Da Anza Prize Tourney -- Southern Shores

June 1, 1986 (AS XXI)

From The Page (May, 1986):

The College of De Anza, under the sponsorship of the Province of Southern Shores, will hold a prize tourney on June 1.

There will be a belted list, an unbelted list and a grand melee. The lists will be double elimination or round robin, depending on the number of fighters. The prize for each list will be a helmet. The melee prize will be announced at the event.

There will also be an embroidery contest for favors; poetry honoring your lord or ladies virtues (please keep it clean); and a calligraphy contest. The prize for the favor contest will be embroidery floss; a book of medieval poetry for the poetry contest; and calligraphy supplies for the calligraphy contest.

There will be a potluck revel after the tourney. Please bring a dish to feed 6 to 8 people. This is a very dry site.

The autocrat is John Claymore (contact info omitted).
