From The Page (January, 1987):
Come celebrate the fire festival of imbolc, candlemass, oriental new year, ground hog day, and sun's returning with the Shire of Pren Tal. The fourth annual barbeque will be at the Pine Grove (behind the tennis courts) at Mitchell Park in Palo Alto, at East Meadow at Middlefield Road. Cooking grills, charcoal, shelter and privies are all provided. Bring your own food, beverages and equipment. The site is moderately wet -- both for beverages and weather. Period musicians and damp proof games are most welcome. Bring warm clothes and towels. There is a playground and a large, non-fighting field.
This year's competitions are: anything made from wool; pop ladies bread or cookie people, in honor of the season's newborn lambs or beltane babies.
