From The Page (November, 1986):
Come one, come all to the Barony of Eskalya's All Saint's Revel and Tourney in Anchorage. We will be breaking in a new site for this one. The site will be the 6981st Chalet on Elmendorf AFB. The date has also been changed to November 8 from November 1.
The site will open at 12:30 p.m. with armor inspection for the tourney at 1 p.m. A site fee of $2 and a potluck dish is requested.
Since this is the first available weekend after Samhein and Samhein falls during the week this year, we decided to do something different this time. The day we are celebrating is All Saint's Day (I know this is November 1, but this is the only day we could get the site).
In deference to the clerical tradition, a mace and great mace tourney will be held (remember, clerics can't use edged weapons). The following contests will also be held: best crusader era costume (1096-1291) -- Saracens, Tarters, Mamelukes & Monguls welcome; most proficient pilgrim -- play pilgrimage round trip; most gentle and courteous lord and lady -- our inquisitors will be watching; best period fruit dish.
We will also have games, a bardic featuring the infamous draw a card storytelling, courts and dancing.
The feast will feature the ever popular "giant pheasant". Potluck assignments are as follows: A-G desserts; H-P side dishes; Q-V appetizers; W-Z anything you want. Assignments are by first letter of S.C.A. name please.
If you have any questions or need more information, call Morgan or Flanna at (phone).
