The Twenty-first Year

Coronet Tournament -- Principality of Cynagua

May 24-26, 1986 (AS XXI)

From The Page (May, 1986):

On May 24, 25 and 26 Cynagua Coronet will again be held at Feather River Colege in Quincy. This year the event will take place at the upper field, no the lower playing field.

Feather River College will be hosting a Renaissance faire on the lower playing field Saturday, May 24, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. They would apreciate it greatly if we could provide atmosphere and demonstrations of fighting, dancing, and other medieval skills. As this may determine the amount of money the site costs the principality, a large turnout would be very helpful. If you are interested in participating, please contact Ceridwen at (contact info omitted).

Collegium Cynaguae will be held Saturday at the upper campsite. Classes scheduled thus far are: Autocrating by Ava Trudine; Chocolates by Aislinn Gildara Breemore; Blackwork by Ceridwen MacAoudhegain; Crossstich by Eleanor; Islam and the Crusades by Ambrose of Barduin; The Tournament Child by Siobhann ni Sheadhgh; Pavilions by eric von Steinhaus and Fiona von Steinhaus; Flower Design by Caroline of Glen Gowan; Dancing by Hagar the Black and Ava Trudine and perhaps a course on tournament furniture.

Lists will be held Sunday. All fighters and their consorts must have resided within the principality for six months.

The Cygnets will be in session at this event. Children will be taught games and each child will make a beanbag stuffed dragon to take home.

The arts competitions for this event will be Fine Arts: Surcoats, Belts/Girdles; Performing Arts: Poetry (Documentation required); Technical Arts: Mideastern Costume.

A tea in honor of Her Highness, Princess Raven, will be held on Monday.

DIRECTIONS: (omitted)

The autocrats are Corwyn of Sablewood (contact info omitted) and Ceridwen MacAoudhegain (contact info omitted).

Please note, the Feather River Canyon Highway has been closed due to recent flooding in the Sierras. Please plan your route accordingly.
