From The Page (November, 1986):
The Shire of Esfenn and the Province of Southern Shores challenge the Known World to a ... revel.
There will be feasting, contests and dancing around the theme of the mercenary warrior in honor of the mercenaries who fought in the recent Esfenn/Southern Shores/Mercenary War.
This grand event will take place on November 15 at the Castro Valley Community Center (address omitted). The feast will be an alphbetical potluck held in the round. This site does have kitchen facilities for those who need to warm up their dishes. Please use your mundane last name to decide where you fit in -- A-G salad, bread, cheeses; H-L side dishes; M-S meat dishes; T-Z dessert.
The contests planned are best appropriate table decoration (remember the theme); best live armor display without human support system (call the autocrat for an explanation); poetry; create a new dance -- the mercenary bransle or brawl.
The revel will begin at 6:30 and will close at 11 p.m., the site fee is $3 and this is a dry site.
If you have any questions call the autocrats, Rhianan Lighthawk (phone), Rhaylan O'Ynys Witrin (phone) and Harold von Schwarzwald (phone).
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
