The Shire of Vakkerfjell is hosting their Not Quite Spring Banquet on March 15. The site is the Sutter Youth Center, (address omitted). The doors will open at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.
The theme of this year's banquet will be country and country style living. There will be a liqueur contest, a door prize and a small auction. The menu will be beef and barley soup, apecius carrots, roast beef, chicken, goose, almond cake and Vakkerfjell's famous tipsy laird.
Tickets are $7.50 per person and must be purchased no later than March 6. No tickets will be sold at the door. Crash space will be available.
Entertainers will be most welcomed and and those wishing to serve would also be appreciated.
