From The Page (January, 1986):

Oertha's Winter Coronet and Investiture will be held January 18 and 19 at the Aldercrest Lodge 31 miles outside of Juneau, AK.

The site features a Jacuzzi which can be used for $2 per person per hour. Fighters participating in the tourney will get one hour free.

Almost all of the private rooms have been reserved, but there are four couches that make into queen sized beds and plenty of sleeping bag space.

The entertainment coordinator is Hamadryad. She asks that all those wishing to enter plays in the Eskalya vs. Earngyld Arts War inform her by January 1 for scheduling. Time may not be available for reservations made after the deadline. Anyone wishing to entertain at this event should contact Hamadryad.

The food committee is in need of servers.

The children's activities coordinator would liket o know how many children to expect. She would also like help with ideas for children's activities. She would like to stress that these activities are for children 5 years or older. She is not a babysitter.

When you sign in at the event you will be handed a bag of ten tax tokens. In one of the bags will be a note naming that lucky person as Lord or Lady of Misrule. This person can then keep or delegate the office at any time during the event. The Lord or Lady of Misrule will determine the amount of tax that should be charged for each person caught in violation of an imaginative list of taxable offenses. A few people will also get notes making them tax officers. The tax officers will be responsible for catching people in violation of the tax rules and bring them to the attention of the Lord or Lady of Misrule. Extra tax tokens may be purchased if you run out.

There will be an auction to benefit the Oerthan coffers at this event. The items to be auctioned are: a diamond willow staff carved by Kylson Skyfyre; an antique Baltic amber necklace donated by Sharane de Kondrack; a handmade medieval costumed doll by Elaine of Rainbow's End; a pair of chocolate decadences flown anywhere in the world by Sharane; the rights to raid Sharane's cellar and take off with what liqueur you can carry; and a chance to throw a pie at the following faces: Prince Donnan, Princess Kareia, Adam Elfchaser, Antadina Exeter du Nordlac, Wolf Federweiss, Morgana n'ha Keridwen, John St. Andrew, Mixial Medvedev is Kieva, and Alicianne Sprucewood de Montfort.

The site fees are as follows: $15 for the weekend (3 meals); $10 for Saturday (2 meals); $5 for Sunday (1 meal). Free dinner Friday night and breakfast Sunday morning will also be provided. There is also a $7.50 per person per night fee to sleep on site in a sleeping bag and $12.50 per person per night to sleep in a bed.

The reservations coordinator is Istri de los Osos (contact info omitted).

The autocrat is Wolf Federweiss (contact info omitted).
