From The Page (September, 1985):
The next Lord Defender of Cynagua will be choosen on September 14 by standard double elimination list. Please note: Due to a recent law change, the Lord Defender is now open to both belted and unbelted fighters.
The site is almost the same as the Merchant's Faire; the Dixon May Fair Grounds in Dixon, CA, between Vacaville and Davis off I-80.
As this date is also Her Highness' Birthday, there will be a wine and cheese tasting in celebration after the lists are completed. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine or non-alcoholic beverage or cheese munchies to feed eight.
Her Highness would also be thrilled and appreciative of any performers who would like to entertain her on her 25th birthday. In addition, there will be dancing on the field, during the tasting/party.
Schedule is as follows: set up, 10 a.m.; lists sign up, 11-11:30; lists start at noon. The tasting party will start after the lists (anticipated to be around 5 p.m.).
The site fee will be $2 per person. The autocrat is Katya Wanderer, (contact info omitted).
Don't forget -- Let's entertain Princess Cerridwen.
