From The Page (March, 1986):
The Known World is invited to Applegate Shire on the fifth of April for a day of organized chaos. All Fool's Day is a celebration of the backward, a chance to break the monotony of our everyday lives. Come and join us in our reveling. Dance like a fool or listen to fool's stories (believe them if you wish ...). We will hold some contests, feast and act in a way that has not yet gone out of period ... mad.
Follow these rules to figure out what you should bring to the potluck. If your mundane first name begins with A-F: salad, vegetables or fruit; G-K: breakds; L-S: main dish (finger foods preferred); T-Z; desserts.
This is a dry site. Punch and cider will be provided, please bring your own utensils.
