SPRING INVESTITURE will be held at teh Student Union Building at Mills College in Oakland, in the Province of the Mists.

Aslo planned throughout the day are the Silver Spoon competition (flowers as a main ingredient), dancing, games, and on-site contests (see below for Arts Competition).
This is a DRY site. This means all discretion to be exercised, and all alcoholic beverage containers are to be removed from the premises.

There will be an on-site embroidery competition at Mists Investiture sponsored by the Arts Office. Material, needles, and some thread will be provided. Bring your own hoop and any special thread you want to use.
The winners of the on-site spinning competition at Mists Spring Coronet were Cherie Dalyell for best-quality thread and Marya Glasscutter for longest thread.
The competition for Principality of the Mists Spring Investiture is: A dyshe in which a major ingredient is flowers. Juding is based on taste, appearance, presentation, and authenticity.
Cooks int he Middle Ages were very creative, using flowers both raw and cooked, in salads, tarts, or boiled to use as food coloring.
