No sooner have we crowned a new king than we must meet to choose his successor. The fighters of the West are summoned to compete in the Crown Tournament of June XIX, and the populace is invited to gather beside the tourney field to applaud the victor and console the vanquished. All alike are urged to revel and disport, each in his or her own fashion.
This year's June Crown will be held at good old Bort Meadows - Big Trees in the hills of the East Bay, on 23rd and 24th of June. The gates will open at 5pm on Friday. The site donation is $2.
The AUTOCRAT is Mariposa de los Montoya, with the assistance of Käthe Willig von Mainz. (contact info omitted).
Among the COMPETITIONS will be several sections of both the annual Kingdom Arts and Sciences competitions, as well as contests sponsored by Wooden Spoon (cooking with flowers), Pied d'Argent (Washerwoman Bransle), and Nal-Kerv (work garb, plus the postponed Beltane contest). Lord Dragon the Green will hold is celebrated trash gathering competition.
